Improving the quality of public passenger transport
Currently, the company is the only operator of high-quality bus routes in Tien Giang province. It runs Route 01 from Tien Giang Bus Station (My Tho City) to An Huu Bus Station (Cai Be district) and Route 10 from Tien Giang Bus Station to Can Duoc Bus Station (Long An province). The bus routes have been operating effectively to help expand the network, meet travel needs and encourage people to use public transport to ease the load on personal vehicles and reduce traffic accidents. For Route 10, the company is expanding the route to Vam Lang, Go Cong Dong district to serve eastern communes bordered by the sea.
To ensure high-quality vehicle standards, the company invested roughly VND40 billion in buying over 20 new vehicles equipped with air conditioning, dash cameras and front and rear cameras. The stop time at each station is no more than 3 minutes.
Together with transportation, Tien Giang Auto Transport Joint Stock Company also affirms its reputation in driver training. From only training motorbike drivers of classes A1 and A2 for many years, on July 7, 2022, the company launched the Car Driving Training and Testing Center (in Hamlet 7, Tam Hiep commune, Chau Thanh district) to train drivers of classes B1 and B2 (the training duration of a trainee is 13 weeks) and driving class C (29 weeks).
Costing about VND10 billion for construction, the center has a driving practice yard with an area of 9,600 square meters, fully furnished with equipment for various situations and lessons according to the current training program. The yard has a guaranteed height and drainage system, a waiting room, and practicing seats for trainees. In particular, the center purchased 24 Toyota Vios cars, 100% new Isuzu and JAC trucks for training.
In addition to infrastructure investment, the company focuses on applying information technology in driver training in line with the roadmap provided by the Ministry of Transport. Up to now, its driving training and testing facilities have invested in more modern and synchronous equipment. It has also deployed and installed software to simulate traffic situations in teaching content and an equipment system to monitor driving practice distances and electronic cabins, and applied technology to manage theoretical learning time. This has helped ease overloading and unsecured training quality while equipping necessary knowledge and skills for safe driving.
In addition to driver training, Tien Giang Auto Transport Joint Stock Company provides driving tests. Currently, the driving yard features standard equipment required for a car driving license testing center and it will be officially operated immediately after being licensed.

Helping to build a traffic culture
Mr. Do Van Chung, Director of Tien Giang Auto Transport Joint Stock Company, said: To improve the driver training and testing quality and help ensure traffic safety, in addition to investing in facilities and equipment, the company also concentrates on training and improving the qualifications, professional ethics, expertise and skills of trainers who must have lesson plans and training materials for their class and provide sufficient subjects and periods of driver training.
The company also strengthens the management of trainees to help them study seriously and effectively. At the same time, it promotes digital transformation and technology applications to prevent violations and fraud in teaching and learning to make sure that trainees have good skills and knowledge on the road.
Currently, Tien Giang Auto Transport Joint Stock Company has a total of 103 employees, with 34 holding university or postgraduate degrees. In the year to October 31, the company received 23,131 applications for Class A1 and A2 driver training and 1,447 applications for B1, B2 and C class training. The company coordinated with the Department of Transport to test and license 23,131 trainees of A1 and A2 classes and 1,344 trainees of B1, B2 and C classes. |
In addition, the company focuses on equipping students with knowledge of traffic laws, safe driving skills as well as cultured and civilized behavior on the road. Lectures on driver ethics and traffic culture are actively deployed to all trainees in all facilities. Typical contents include no participation or encouragement for insecurity and traffic unsafety, no violation or assistant violation of traffic laws, strict compliance with traffic signals, no use of beer or alcohol, no overspeed, helpfulness to the elderly, the disabled, victims, children and people in disadvantaged circumstances in traffic, and cooperative attitude and civilized and polite behaviors in crash situations.
The awareness of drivers needs to be built right from the beginning of their studies, Chung said. Besides teaching knowledge and skills in traffic, we show learners that if they lack respect for driving safety rules, accidents are more likely.
“Being serious in driver training and testing, along with building a traffic culture for learners right during their training courses, will help them realize that traffic culture is the ethics of each person, bring safety to themselves and the community, and help shape a beautiful image on the road,” he emphasized.
